Shelley's Goddess combines psychoanalytic, poststructuralist and feminist theory with extensive biographical material, information on motherhood in England after 1790, and a detailed reading of Prometheus Unbound, in an important reassessment of Shelley's avowed feminism and the failure of his utopian vision. |
