A cruel king marries beautiful young women, but always has their heads cut off in the morning. However, his new wife, Sheherezade, is clever. Every night, she starts to tell him a wonderful story. She tells him about a greedy man who finds a robbers' cave, full of treasure, but cannot remember the magic words to get out again. She tells him the story of Sinbad the sailor, of a genie in a bottle, of Aladdin and his magic lamp, and many more. Every morning, the king lets his new wife live, because he wants to hear the end of the story.
