Caroline is a talented, successful African-American artist who was raised in the lap of luxury in her affluent black neighbourhood in Chicago. She is on her way to an interview when she bumps into a man who takes her breath away. Unbeknownst to either, Brian Keenan is one of the senior partners and technology whiz- kid of the Technology firm she is interviewing with. Once she accepts the position, Brian wants to make Caroline a success in and out of the Boardroom. Fighting to control herself, Caroline flees the relationship for fear of impropriety, but most for fear that Brian is White. But, Caroline soon encounters bigger problems than her feeling for a white man, when someone starts stalking her and she doesn't know who or why. Brian, an ex-cop, wants to help.
