Description: |
Ghostly drama about a blocked young writer under the spell of a mysterious ethereal figure. Lila (Jennifer Nichol Porter) is trying hard to come up with ideas while her hardworking husband Sam (Eric Schweig) brings home the bacon. One day she hears a noise on the porch of their Victorian mansion and goes to investigate. She meets a charming and strangely familiar young man, Mr. Barrington (Brian McCardie) who is riding a penny farthing bicycle. Barrington becomes a regular visitor and Lila's mental wellbeing is soon in a state of decline as a result. Sam, alarmed at his wife's plight, eventually finds is way back to the orphanage Lila was raised in, looking for clues. Mr. Barrington, meanwhile, turns from a charming larrikin into a demanding and menacing little rascal, intent on exacting a payment from Lila for a supposed wrongdoing. |
