This is the second volume in the series "Advances in porous Media". The objective of the series is to provide a forum for publications on developments in this fast-growing interdisciplinary area, with special emphasis on the frontiers of knowledge and on a unified approach by scientists from such diverse fields as civil, mechanical, agricultural, environmental, chemical, ceramic, mining and petroleum engineering, geohydrology, soil physics, powder metallurgy and mathematics.
