Synopsis: Hans Sahl wurde 1902 in Dresden geboren. Er studierte Literatur- und Kunstgeschichte. Seit 1927 war er als Theater- und Filmkritiker in Berlin taetig. 1933 musste er aus Deutschland fliehen, zunaechst nach Prag, dann Zuerich, spaeter nach Paris. 1939-1940 ist er in Frankreich interniert, 1941 gelingt ihm die Flucht in die USA. Sahl lebt seitdem als Schriftsteller, Uebersetzer (Thornton Wilder, Tennessee Williams u.a.) und Korrespondent europaeischer Zeitungen in New York. Diese Bibliographie wird dazu beitragen, einen der wichtigsten und interessantesten Zeitzeugen deutschsprachiger Literatur, der bisher fast ausschliesslich nur Insidern bekannt war, gebuehrend vorzustellen. Dieses Buch richtet sich an den Literaturwissenschaftler sowie auch an den interessierten Leser.
