The exercises use simple invertebrate preparations (primarily crayfish), rather than classical vertebrate preparations, to illustrate fundamental processes of all nervous systems. The self-contained interface requires no internet browser and features hypertext links along with optional video subtitles and voice-overs. PLEASE NOTE: At this time, Crawdad is not compatible with Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion). A new version that is compatible with Mac OS X 10.7 is expected to be available in Autumn 2012. |
