The work is organised into five sections. Lipid Disorders provides an overview of the huge annual output of published material on familial hypercholesterolaemia, hypertriglyceridaemia and other disorders of lipid metabolism. The second section reviews the recently published results of major Lipid-lowering Trials, and assesses the efficacy of the drugs, their cost-effectiveness, and their effect on other risk factors.
