Synopsis: Volume 3 - As Aman and Chikei wait for signs of Qwan's recovery, Daki returns to Yuushi, questioning whether he really is her father. Yuushi assures her that he is, and would never try to kill her or hurt her, but then, his anger explodes as she requests permission to return to the forest for the bugs' sake. Seishigaku stays Yuushi's hand, and Yuushi ultimately lets the two of them go. Yuushi turns his attention to the real matter at hand, his conclusion that an aristocrat named Joukai, now, possesses the Essential Arts of Peace. Yuushi confronts this Joukai, but meets his match as Joukai uses the strange powers of the scroll to turn Yuushi into a creature somewhere between man and spider. Elsewhere, Daki returns to the forest to save the bugs, but finds she was too late. Back at Qwan's side, Shaga shows up, and Aman presses her for what she knows about Qwan and the Essential Arts of Peace. She reveals that she and Qwan are from a different realm of existence, and that Qwan himself is not human, demon, or even immortal, but a being fallen from heaven.Suddenly, however, some mystical force erupts from Teikou, creating a whirlwind that sends Qwan and Shaga to a strange world full of bizarre creatures. With Qwan still unconscious, Shaga discovers more about this world, full of strange looking immortals who worship a mustached Teikou, specifically a statue of Teikou on top of a mountain, as God. The immortals offer to solve on of Shaga's problems, if they move the mountain the Teikou statue is on. As Qwan wakes up, he calls out to Teikou, and the mountain crumbles towards him. Due to this feat, the immortals give Qwan his right arm back, but inform Shaga that since Qwan only did one task, they'll only solve one of his problems. Qwan will need to do another task later on before they'll teach her how to return home. While busy wondering why Teikou would take them to this world, Shaga encounters a man named Ukitsu, the author of the "Essential Arts of Peace"! Ukitsu is hated by the immortals for being mustache-less, and not worshipping Teikou. Ukitsu reveals the origin of Qwan and his name, but then the immortals attack!
