Der Band bietet erstmals einen umfassenden Uberblick daruber, in welchem Umfang und wie in bundesdeutschen Printmedien seit 1980 uber die aktive Teilnahme von Frauen am gesellschaftlichen Leben berichtet wird. Die empirische Basis bilden fast 7.000 Texte, die zwischen 1980 und 1995 zu den Themen Erwerbstatigkeit, politische Gleichberechtigung sowie Feminismus in den vier Medien dpa, taz, Die Zeit und Der Spiegel erschienen sind. Auf der Grundlage politik- und sprachtheoretischer Ausfuhrungen analysiert die Autorin im qualitativen Teil die sprachlichen Muster, wie z. B. Schlagworte und Metaphern, sowie die Bauprinzipien solcher Texte, in denen die politischen Leistungen von Frauen subtil abgewertet werden, ohne dass es zu einer rationalen Auseinandersetzung mit frauenpolitischen Forderungen kommt. |
