In der Offentlichkeit wird Horror und Gewalt in den Medien haufig als Hauptursache fur das morderische Tun von Kindern und Jugendlichen gesehen. Trotz eines Forschungsaufwands von "industriellem Ausmass" kann die Medienwirkungsforschung aber keinen kausalen Zusammenhang zwischen dargestellter und realer Gewalt belegen. In dieser Untersuchung wird das Problem der Mediengewalt als sozial konstruiertes Problem begriffen, dessen Deutung und Wahrnehmung von einem "Masterframe der Kausalitat" dominiert wird. Es wird gefragt, welche Folgen diese Konstruktion fur die Rundfunkregulation und weitere gesellschaftliche Gegenmassnahmen hat. |
