Unabhangig von der praktischen Wichtigkeit der Pathologie in der histopathologischen Diagnostik, von der Qualitatssicherung der medizinischen Entwicklung durch die Obduktion, von der Erfahrung der Jeweiligkeit der Krankheit bei einzelnen Kranken (Individualpathologie) bietet Pathologie als Krankheitslehre die Moglichkeit, ja fordert mit Notwendigkeit die theoretische Durchdringung des Krankseins, der Krankheitsvorstellung in den verschiedenen Zeiten. Dass Wandel auch in vergleichsweise kurzen Zeitlaufen deutlich wird, wird an der Entwicklung der Pathologie in der ersten Halfte unseres Jahrhunderts gezeigt. In einer durch eigene Erlebnisse und Erfahrungen angereicherten Art wird die Geschichte des Faches nach dem Tode Rudolf Virchows bis zum Ende des II. Weltkrieges betrachtet. |
