| Description: |
Tim Robbins, Rachel McAdams and Michael Pena star in this road trip comedy drama following three off-duty soldiers who have returned from the war in Iraq to face various issues and problems in their civilian lives. Fred (Robbins) is a newly-retired sergeant who hopes to win enough at the Las Vegas casinos to pay his son's college fees, Colee (McAdams) is on her way to deliver the guitar of a dead comrade to his family after he saved her life, and TK (Pena) is nervous about his reunion with his fiancee owing to a shrapnel injury that has affected his sexual function. On arrival at New York's JFK Airport, they discover that all flights have been cancelled because of a blackout, and the three spontaneously decide to rent a van together. As they travel from East to West they become close friends and gradually come to terms with the obstacles they face. |
