Filmed in 3D for theatrical release, the film briefly retraces the history of this poisonous pest, which was originally introduced into Australia in the 1930s to combat the greyback beetle that was destroying sugar cane crops. However, the toxic toads quickly became an ecological nightmare in their own right as they bred and spread across the continent at an alarming rate, wreaking widespread havoc and devastation along the way. |
