Felly Nkweto Simmonds finds cancer a tempering experience, bringing strength, but also aloneness. Poet Marilyn Hacker uses a sonnet sequence to convey the emotions her "Cancer Winter" aroused. Carole Colbourn chronicles the painful dissolution and renewal of her marriage. |
