Synopsis: |
Following a complaint, Viscount Ridley was found to have breached the Code of Conduct by failing to declare his financial interests in a comprehensible and unambiguous manner when speaking in a debate on the Energy Bill. Viscount Ridley took appropriate remedial action by way of an apology to the Sub-Committee on Lords' Conduct and an apology in a subsequent speech in the House on the Bill. The Commissioner for Standards and the Sub-Committee conclude that no further action is required. |
