He also shows how securitizing immigration has had profound political implications for the EU. The EU is increasingly thought of as a place of unease where individuals are integrated through their concerns and worries about undocumented immigrants and other unwanted forms of mobility. This book critically discusses these tendencies and considers other, less exclusive forms of imagining European belonging.
