Building on a long period of scholarly interest in migration, travel, and other ways that people are divorced from a sense of home, the authors of this volume shift theory focus to the conceptualisation of home - in all its complexity and mutability. While giving ample room for literary readings of home, Constructions of Home also furnishes a rich assortment of essays from such disciplines as architecture, legal studies, cultural studies, and urban studies.
