Explore narrative techniques through the hard-hitting issue of asylum. Asra, an asylum seeker, and Ruby Tanya, the daughter of a local man who is campaigning against the asylum seekers, are best friends. The girls' friendship is threatened when a bomb kills a teacher at their school, for which the asylum seekers are blamed. About to be deported, Asra goes on the run with the help of Ruby.
