This course aims to develop students' geographical skills and knowledge at lower-secondary level, in preparation for their future CXC studies. The two Longman Caribbean Geography books : The Caribbean and Beyond and Caribbean Challenges can be used in any of years one, two or three of the lower secondary school. Key features include: * Units that give an overview of the social, economic, physical and environmental geography of the Caribbean in a global context, covering recent events and developments in the field. * Investigations of other areas of the world, such as South Africa and India, provide contrast. * Questions and activities provide practice in skills such as interpreting and evaluating data, atlas work, making comparisons, research and field work, critiqueing and debating. * A revision section, which provides ready material for extra exercises or for assesment puposes. * A highly-illustrated, modern design, that will appeal to the age-group, and which carefully integrates the illustrations with the text and exercises. |
