The book describes how, after a period in Hawick, McCarthy volunteers for special duties and flies to Germany. The story recounts the atmosphere and goings on in Nuremburg, the dangers (McCarthy was twice caught in ambushes and badly injured) and the riotous exploits of the local soldiers. |
