This is the second in an annual series which publishes articles, notes and reviews on literary translation of all kinds and periods, focusing on English literature in its foreign relations. Topics in the history and theory of translation are addressed by contributors from disciplines including the Classics, modern languages, Biblical studies and linguistics as well as English literature. With an advisory board that includes scholars such as Frank Kermode, Edwin Morgan and Umberto Eco, "Translation and Literature" gives a focus for all issues in literary translation. This volume presents contributions such as "Dryden as Translator", by David Hopkins; "Decolonizing Translation", by David Robinson; "Translating Poetic Forms", by Alistair Elliot; and Claudian's "Old Man of Verona", from the Italian.
