Synopsis: |
This work is the republication of a special issue of the "Journal of Drug Issues". It addresses critical issues involved in the relationship between drugs and crime among juveniles and adults. The articles blend the findings of ethnographic research, descriptive correlational field studies and longitudinal inquiries among different population groups. The collection in "Drugs and Crime" incorporate a range of different analytic techniques: four articles focus on juveniles, based on findings from the National Youth Survey and other studies. The remaining articles deal with adults and consider their drug use history, geographic location and the criminal system. Altogether, these articles aim to help establish an agenda for future research in the field. |
