Synopsis: |
No film crew, no 'fixers' for the borders, no 4WD back-up - in fact no back-up at all. The only participants on this 5,000-mile journey were a simple 55-year-old Ariel motorcycle and its even older and arguably even simpler rider. In this moving account the author chronicles the entire experience: bike preparation, organisation, mechanical mayhem, personal discovery and - one of the reasons for the trip - raising over GBP2,000 for a small school in Kawaza, Zambia. |
