Description:
New and selected work by a major Latino poet, the best kept secret of the New York School.
Synopsis:
This is the only selected poems in print from Frank Lima, an overlooked poet with a very fascinating trajectory: a former golden glove boxer with a very dark past who became closely associated with the New York School and then became a chef.Although he retreated from the poetry world for the latter half of his life, Lima continued to write everyday until his death in 2013 - this book is made up mostly of new poems (2/3 of the collection) never published before.Lima is one of the only Latino poets associated with the New York School, and was praised widely from that group, only to purposefully retreat from that lifestyle. This collection is the authority on this overlooked New York poet.
