Synopsis: |
Research on the creep and fracture of engineering materials is presented in this text, with particular emphasis being placed on: mechanisms of high-temperature deformation and fracture, materials for high-temperature service, the behaviour of single and polycrystals, components and structures, grain boundaries and interfaces, and superelasticity. Special focus is placed on creep crack growth and fatigue; creep damage, rupture and life assessment; and plant conduct assessment. Materials covered include structural steels, nickel-based superalloys, nonferrous alloys, intermetallics and ceramics. |
