Description: |
Consumer behaviour and economic decisions is an applied field of research informed by several disciplines, e.g. psychology, economics, marketing, and also by several subdisciplines in psychology, e.g. general, social or economic psychology. |
Synopsis: |
The focus on decisions provides a framework to integrate these perspectives. Decision research can provide several promising approaches for the understanding of consumer behaviour, e.g. by distinguishing between impulsive and extensive decisions or between automatic, affective and cognitive routes to decisions. This special issue invites submissions of empirical and theoretical papers on consumer behaviour and economic decisions, with a particular focus on decision processes. The purpose of this special issue is to highlight recent research and innovative approaches. Papers that focus on the following topics are particularly welcome: * spending decisions * saving decisions * credit use decisions * insurance and pension plan decisions * investment decisions (stocks, bonds) * money management decisions |
