All trace the growth of Belfast from its origins as a strategic site, through the 17th-century planned town, to a 19th-century industrial city. The fascicle contains Ordnance Survey and historical maps as well as historic and aerial photographs. An essay describes the topographical evolution of Belfast from earliest times to 1840 and is published in conjunction with Belfast City Council.
