Synopsis: |
A Biography of Li Chi-shen, famous general during the Chinese Revolution and right hand man to Chiang Kai-shek, as told by his son P. K. Lee to the author. Li, a disciple of Sun Yet-sen, helped unify southern China before joining with Chiang to unify all of China under the Republic. He later broke with Chiang, forming the Min Ge Political Party, which still exists today as China's second largest party. Li joined the Communists in Beijing in 1948 to help bring an end to the fighting and to support a unified China. He preformed diplomatic duties for Mao Tse-tung until his death in 1955. |
