| Synopsis: |
On a drizzling rain soaked afternoon in August, the Mackay family stepped on to the pier after travelling over the bay from the mainland on the ferry boat, MV Jupiter. They have arrived in the town of Rothesay, on the Isle of Bute, Scotland. This is the start of their two weeks holiday. Kara, Martin and Shirley are John and Anna MacKay's three eldest children, their other child being two year old Jason, who is in his pushchair. For all of them, except John Mackay, this is their first visit to both Rothesay and Scotland. But this will be a visit they will never forget.
