Synopsis: |
Izzy Halliday is a young and successful professional violinist with a highly promising future. But her life has been blighted by her mother's tragic death when she was a child, and beneath the surface she struggles with the weight of expectation put on her by her father to achieve the dizzying career heights achieved by her mother. For Christmas, her rich boyfriend, Zav, presents her with a kind of romantic game: they are to go to Paris separately, and then try to find each other across the city. Izzy has a big recital coming up and needs to practise, but she reluctantly agrees. As the days go by, events unfold which Izzy could never have anticipated. Back in London, her friends, Kaitlyn who runs a women's hostel, and Sara a highly ambitious law student, are caught up in increasingly dark events which ultimately follow Izzy to Paris. As tragedy threatens to engulf her, she is forced to re-think her life, her relationships and her past. |
