A fundamental guide for specifiers, installers and those testing installations, the expected updates in Amendment 3 greatly impact on day-to-day tasks. The main changes to BS 7671 that impact Guidance Note 1 include information on: * consumer units (to come into effect January 2016); * wiring in escape routes; * changes to earth fault loop impedances for all protective devices; * changes to definitions throughout the Regulations. Please note, sections previously in Guidance Note 1 on Outdoor Lighting and ELV Lighting can now be found in Guidance Note 7 (5th Edition). Amendment 3 published on 5 January 2015 and comes into effect on 1 July 2015. All new installations from this point must comply with Amendment 3 to BS 7671:2008. |
