From corruption to legitimacy... a rocky road Michael had grown up watching his mother tormented and beaten by his father until she could take no more; they escaped to what was hopefully to be a better life, and it was. His mother's new husband adopted him as his own, Michael adopted his name... Henderson. He also gained a step-sister, Sophie, who would later save his life. He was luckier than most of his peers when he left school, where he'd left a string of broken hearts; he was offered the opportunity of training as a project manager for a building company, County Homes, slowly to be taken under the wing of boss, Tony Shapiro, no stranger to a bit of bribery and corruption to get what he wanted! And he wanted Michael to follow in his footsteps... Meeting and marrying his beautiful wife, Diane, was his saving grace and together, they became the golden couple with four gorgeous children, but utter tragedy lay around the corner at the hands of someone he had trusted, someone he had held his hand out to... Some would say he was an impressionable young lad; some would say he was led down the path of corruption, blackmail and murder; some would say that he chose that path himself.
