Between 1971 and 1975 a musical movement erupted which shattered the pop/rock continuum more thoroughly than it had ever been shattered before -- the glittering world of Glam. Glam was a British pop phenomenon, and a who's who of Britain's pop charts from 1970 to 1976 provides the framework for this book. The forty bands included herein are listed chronologically by the date of their first UK chart entry. However, the influence of Glam extended far beyond the British pop scene.
