Oliver Cromwell's 'Crowning Glory' - the final destruction of the Royalist armies at the Battle of Worcester in 1651 - was very much Fleetwood's too, as commander of the Parliamentarian left wing. Furthermore, as eventual Commander-in-Chief of the Commonwealth's army, there is much more to the man than this, yet little has been published about him. |
