The scheme brings French to life, engaging pupils' imaginations, and furthering their understanding of French language structures. It develops effective learning strategies that can be applied to other languages and across the curriculum. Topics introduced in Hexagonie, Year 8 range from going on holiday, leisure activities and food and drink to time, school life and activities at home. Language points covered include: ce/cet/cette/ces; adjectives, avoir and etre in the present tense; asking questions; possessives; parler and other regular verbs in the present tense; aller in the present tense and faire in the present tense.
