Synopsis: |
The Miracle Men is an original and fascinating study of the lives of six great figures in the history of world religions. In part it is a sketch of the origination of different religions, but it is more concerned with the men who had a profound influence on how those religions later developed. In some cases (e.g. Mohammed) this entails dealing with the same person, whereas with Moses and Paul the fount of influence is not the originator. The relatively low-key analysis, with the prime focus on biography, gives the reader plenty of room to make up his or her own mind, while simply enjoying the stories. |
