Der langste deutsche Artusroman in Versen (von ca. 1230) wird hier erstmals nach dem Leithandschriftenprinzip herausgegeben, soweit der zusammenhangende Text der wesentlich originalnaheren Handschrift (Cod. Vind. 2779) reicht, also bis Vers 12281, und damit die alte, unzureichende, vergriffene Ausgabe von 1852 zumindest zu einem Teil ersetzt. Die Lesarten der anderen Handschriften erscheinen im Paralleldruck. Ein textkritischer Kommentar unter dem Text bietet die alteren Vorschlage zur Textherstellung und die Rechtfertigung der eigenen Vorschlage." |
