English summary: Phenomenological and narratological approaches are the basis on which the idea of history in the Iliad is analysed. The first part examines the relations of the heroes to the past. The second part reads the narrative form of the Iliad as an expression of the underlying idea of history. German description: Bereits vor und auch jenseits von Geschichtsschreibung vergegenwartigen sich Menschen ihre Vergangenheit. In der Memoria der antiken Griechen nahm die Ilias einen herausragenden Platz ein. Dieser Tatsache tragt Jonas Grethlein Rechnung. Er entwickelt einen phanomenologischen Geschichtsbegriff, der es erlaubt, das Geschichtsbild der Ilias nicht nur als defiziente Vorstufe zur Historiographie zu sehen, sondern in seinem eigenen Recht zu analysieren. Der erste Teil der Studie untersucht das Bild, das die epischen Helden von ihrer Vergangenheit haben. Der zweite Teil ist dem Geschichtsbild gewidmet, das der Ilias selbst zugrunde liegt. Auf der Grundlage erzahltheoretischer Reflexionen wird hier die narrative Komplexitat der Ilias als Ausdruck ihres Geschichtsbildes gedeutet. Damit leistet Das Geschichtsbild der Ilias einen Beitrag zur Kulturgeschichte des archaischen Griechenlands und eroffnet zugleich einen neuen literaturwissenschaftlichen Blick auf das Epos. |
