Das Buch beschaftigt sich mit der Bedeutung des Harnstoffes fur die ausserliche Behandlung von Hautkrankheiten. Zunachst wird eine Ubersicht uber die vorliegende Literatur gegeben. Danach wird die Bedeutung von Harnstoff als Monotherapeutikum erortert. Mehrere Abschnitte beschaftigen sich mit der Rolle von Harnstoff als Zusatzstoff zu anderen, topisch bedeutsamen Pharmaka wie Glukokortikoiden, Dithranol und all-trans-Retinsaure. In kurzeren Beitragen werden die Ergebnisse experimenteller und klinischer Untersuchungen uber die Wirkung von Harnstoff an der Haut vorgestellt. Harnstoff ist dermatotherapeutisch gut wirksam, unerwunschte systemische Wirkungen treten nicht auf. Irritative Effekte sind bei Beachtung der Grenzkonzentrationen je nach Hautzustand leicht vermeidbar. Harnstoff liegt voll im Trend der modernen Dermatologie: ein altbewahrter Wirkstoff mit wertvollem Aktionsspektrum, jederzeit mit modernsten Methoden dokumentierbare Effektivitat und fehlende systemische Wirkung. |
