This publication includes the full agenda, proceedings and summary of six working group meetings on space applications for sustainable development. The meetings were held in various Asian cities between March and June 2001. An annex containing the list of countries that participated, their official representatives and their contact details, is also included. The names of the six working groups that met are as follows: the working group on Satellite Communication Applications, working group on Meteorological Satellite Applications and Natural Hazards Monitoring, working group on Space Science and Technological Applications, working group on Remote Sensing Geographic Information Systems and Satellite-Based Positioning, and the Intergovernmental Consultive Committee on the Regional Space Applications Programme for Sustainable Development. |
