Synopsis: |
Arriving in New South Wales, Sam, April and One-Pennyworth started out on their new life in this wild country, as yet untamed. Knowing nothing of this land, the three young people have no idea what will happen to them, of the people they will meet. In England, their life had been hard, being beggars on the streets of the City of York. For a time in Liverpool, they lived a better life. Two people made friends of them: Mr. Ted & Mrs. Annie Cox. The two boys and the girl came to call the couple, Uncle Ted & Aunt Annie. But, as always, their good life came to an end. For their safety they fled England and came to this new country on a naval sailing ship. Now they must make a life in New South Wales. They met a young Aboriginal boy called Dreamtime. The boy was of great help to them, taking the three of them on walkabout adventures out in the bush: the outback. The problem for Sam, April and One-Pennyworth - will this good life last, or will, as in the past, in England, trouble find them? |
