Enrique Meneses (1929-2013) was one of the leading names of Spanish documentary photography. For more than half a century Meneses worked as a photographer and foreign correspondent for news outlets across Europe, during which time he developed a talent for being on the front line of historical moments - he was the first journalist to go into the mountains of Sierra Maestra with Che Guevara and Fidel Castro, he covered the Suez Canal crisis in Egypt, and even covered the Siege of Sarajevo when in his 70's.
