What do Hank Williams, Beck, Emmylou Harris, Marquis the Magician, and President Dwight Eisenhower all have in common? They have all turned to Nashville's historic Hatch Show Print--one of the oldest surviving letterpress shops in America--to create bold and distinctive promotional posters. Established in 1879, and now owned by the Country Music Foundation, "Hatch Show Print preserves the art of traditional printing and has earned a loyal following that continues to this day. Inside this postcard box you'll find reproductions of forty handcrafted posters from the Hatch archive, including ads for Silas Green's minstrel show, Peco gasoline, Landola trailers, the World's Expo, and Pop Kola. |
