Synopsis: |
This series of books introduces the consonant digraphs (two different consonants which together make a different sound to either of the consonants on their own) 'sh, th, ch'. Some words containing vowel digraphs are also used, i.e. see, bee, sleep, cheek, play, day, away. Some children may be ready for the formal introduction of these vowel digraphs at this stage also. The rest of the personal pronouns are introduced as well as the special non-decodable words 'was' and 'come'. |
