Das Buch stellt an Beispielen die Problemgeschichte der Pathologie dar. Die ersten Beitrage gehoren in das Repertoire der pathologischen Anatomie, betonen aber bewusst die historische Weiterentwicklung der jeweils angesprochenen Problemlage. Die Beitrage der zweiten Gruppe werden eingeleitet durch einen nachgelassenen Aufsatz von Georg Benno Gruber, der zugleich an diesen uneigennutzigen Forderer der Pathologie erinnern mochte. Es folgt ein Beitrag uber Georg Buchner als Naturforscher, jenen genialen jugendlichen Forscher, der ganz auf sich gestellt einen wissenschaftlich ernstzunehmenden Weg auf dem Felde der vergleichenden Anatomie gefunden hatte. Der Band wird durch einen Essay uber Fragen der Ethik - Ethik aus der Sicht des Pathologen - abgeschlossen. |
