Der Hippokratische Ausspruch: "Ars longa, vita brevis" bildet das Kernstuck dieser Abhandlung von W. Doerr. Er geht der Frage nach, worin die wirklichen Aufgaben des wissenschaftlichen Studiums der Heilkunde bestehen, was der Student von der Hochschulmedizin erwarten kann, was verlangen? Er kommt sodann zur Pathologie und versucht Fragen, wie z.B. ob es Leben ohne Krankheit geben kann, oder worin das Geheimnis des Alterns liegt, zu beantworten oder zumindest neue Denkanstosse hierzu zu geben. In einem Nachwort wird erortert, was Pathologie ist, was sie sein kann und wie ihre tragenden Prinzipien ausschliesslich auf dem "anatomischen Gedanken" beruhen. Das Buchlein soll dem Arzt und Pathologen Anregungen geben und ihm die Bedeutung der Pathologie nahebringen. |
