Synopsis: |
An extended discourse analysis of what has been called "New Media" for the past 15 years was the goal of a transdisciplinary discourse at the international symposium "Education Within a New Medium". The debate focused on changed ways of depicting and interaction in the fields of science and the arts and on their interdependency with individual and social conduct, organization of knowledge and systems of thought. In particular it was asked about implications determined by educational theory and their significance for current educational institutions: transformations of content and also forms of teaching, of didactic and heuristic tools, of institutional contexts, as well as the socialization of that generation of students and pupils native to digital cultures. |
