Written by HM Fire Inspectorate, the National Training Module is aimed at UK fire brigades and is part of the "Fire Services Guide". It highlights the aims and learning objectives for each of the following fire-fighting roles: fire-fighter role (induction phase); fire-fighter role (recruit phase and operational phase); crew and Watch Commander role; and Station Commander role. Along with appropriate reference material, the book also gives guidance on training design, including the practical and technical aspects of training, for Brigade Training Officers.
