Synopsis: |
"The New Engineering Contract (NEC)" is a modern day family of standard contracts that truly embraces the concept of partnership and encourages employers, designers, contractors and project managers to work together to achieve the client's objectives. A partnering contract, between two Parties only, is achieved by using a standard NEC contract. This Option X12, which puts the NEC Partnering Option into a contract, is used for partnering between more than two parties working on the same project or programme of projects. The purpose of the Option is to establish the NEC family as an effective contract basis for multi-party partnering. As with all NEC documents, it is intended that the range of application of this document should be wide. "NEC and Partnering" (727729551) presents practical guidance on how to use, and make the best of, the NEC Partnering Option X12. |
